Career Ambitions

When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Eleanor says, "a mermaid."

We were reading a book about jobs. We asked the kids what they want to do when they grow up. Eleanor told us that she wants to paint pictures when she grows up. A painting mermaid.

John wants to use tools. Hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers. He even talked Mike into getting a blue screwdriver at Lowe's last weekend. When asked what Johnny wants to be when he grows up, he says, "A man like Daddy."

aw, wow. you have another little Sarah on your hands. I wanted to be a singing mermaid, though. details, details.

And Johnny's comment about Mike made me literally melt. that is amazing. how did you go about raising the best two kids on the planet?

Aww, how sweet.

I tried to call again but didn't get your machine.

We have Skype. Would love to see you/kids and show you how big Ruth is getting (15 some-odd pounds and 26", at least).

We gave her some cooked, mashed peaches last night. Hilarious.

After reading The Little Mermaid, I TOTALLY wanted to be a mermaid, too. Of course, this was the real Little Mermaid where she doesn't get the prince and is turned into foam. Man, I was a weird little kid.

Give the little kiddies kisses for me!
